5th 2-4

Today we learned about Distributive Property. YES! Let me show you how to do it take for example 2(x+5) first you add the x and the 5. then the problem will be 2 times 5x so the answer will be 10x. That is distributive property.

Shouldn't it be like this 2*x and 2*5 then add them together?

when you distribute you take the 2 timse the x then 2 times 5 so the answer is 2x+10

Wouldn't you multiply the x and the 2 then the 5 and the two. It should end like this 2x+5.

Well that could be one way of explaining it but i would do it this way.

2(x+5)

First you would take 2 times x. Then you would take 2 times 5. You should then end up with 2x+10 so actually u messed up either that or i did but im thinking it was you lol no offence well anyway good job!

I disagree! You can't take the 5+x because they aren't like terms.
