4th Hour, Lesson 3-4

Today we worked on Dimensional Analysis. Here is an example.
If you know that a cheetah can run at about 300 ft. / 2.92 sec and you want to get to miles/hour then this is what you do. /= Per, *= Times
300 ft/2.92 sec.* (1 mile/5280 ft)*(60 sec/1 min.*60 min/1 hr.)
You are trying to get to miles per hour, You are trying to get from seconds to hours but you
so there is 1 mile in 5280 ft. but you cant just go from minutes to hours so you have to go from seconds to minutes to hours.
1
30o f\t/2.92 s\ec.* 1 mile/52\80 f\t.* 6\0 se\c/1 mi\n*60 m\in./1 hr.
88
#1. Cancel the ft.
#2. Cancel the seconds. #3. Cancel the minutes.
#4. Divide 5280 and 60 by 60.

Achettah can run at about 70 miles / hour

Hey Tyler,
Great example. That made perfect sense.
